An Easy Way to Grow Your Email List: Free Treats or Lead Magnets are Gems

Hello, my beautiful CREATORS!!

I often get asked by clients how to grow an email list.

They have learned how important email lists are and want an even bigger one!!

So how do you do that? Well, I like to teach a little lesson about lead magnets or free treats.

A lead magnet or free treat is a piece of content that's going to be teased on social media and on your websites. You offer this for free so that people exchange their email in order to access this amazing content.

What are some good examples of free treats? I’m glad you asked...

  • Checklist

Give your clients an easy checklist to follow. For example, “What pieces to shop for to uplevel your look in the New Year” performed really well for one of my jewelry clients.

Personally, I supply potential clients with a checklist for an Instagram post. I tell them everything that they need to do to make a killer Instagram post.

  • Guide or Report

Dreamy clients love to read your reports.

For example, if...

The Wealthy Artist: 3 Myths to Bust

Hello, my beautiful CREATOR!!

I get so many inbounds about different myths that you have as artists and creators being in business. There are these ideas about what it means to be in business as an artist or a creator, that I really need to give a “hell no” to.

Let’s bust these myths right now. Here are the 3 wealthy artists myths I’m debunking today:

  1. “I need to be ‘salesy’ if I want to sell”

The first myth I hear is, “I don't know how to sell my products, sell my services, sell my art without being salesy.”

It’s true that being salesy is not a great approach—nobody likes that, and you don't like doing it. Instead, authenticity is really key in selling your product or service.

Authenticity comes in the form of telling stories—stories about yourself, about your brand, about your product, all that good stuff. (I talked about the five moves of story-making in an earlier video, so go...

The 4 Best Conversation Starters to Start Authentic Sales or Networking Conversations

Hey there, beautiful creator!

I often get asked by my intrepid creator clients what to do when you get into new conversations.

Whether you’re in-person at a networking event or in a sales marketing setting or, if the conversation is taking place online, the question is, "how do I have authentic conversations to build my business?"

When you're feeling anxiety around being in a new situation and meeting new people, follow these easy steps during the conversation:

  1. Say hi!

It might sound really silly but just say hi. Regardless of the setting—whether you’re at an event or online over a DM messaging a dreamy client, everybody’s feeling a little jittery. It's hard to get started, and it’s hard to get out there. But, just ripping that band-aid off, showing up and starting the conversation knowing that you're coming from a soul-aligned position, makes all the difference.

If you're wanting to connect with another human being in...

5 Live Event Ideas for Your Jewelry Business

jewelry live events Jul 23, 2019

Hello, my beautiful CREATORS!!

I get asked a lot by my jewelry designer clients about hosting live events. I love helping plan in-store events for my brick & mortar clients or renting a cool space to have an event for my e-comm clients.

I have 5 event suggestions that I have used countless times with clients with so much success. These are tried and tested, so don’t miss out.

I want to share these ideas with you today so that you can host amazing events that help build that “know, like and trust” factor for you and your business.

  • Casting & Cocktails or Design & Cocktails

I like to help host a little event I call “casting and cocktails.”  I know the casting, or jewelry-making, process is old hat to you but it will be awe-inspiring to your dreamy clients.

If you don’t cast in-store, you can tweak the wording a bit and call it “Casting & Design” and walk dreamy clients through your...

4 Types of Videos for Social Media Marketing

Hello, my beautiful CREATORS!!

I often get asked by my clients and by my tribe about social media marketing strategies and, in particular, videos. What kind of videos are the best to use to market your business? The first one that I want to talk about is a how-to video.

  • The How-To Video

How-To videos are highly searchable and a great way to connect with a new dreamy client. For example, if you are someone who sells furniture, you can do a step-by-step instructional video showing how to repair a stool. This will give your audience some takeaways and the “know, like and trust” factor when they use your advice to repair the furniture at home.

Don’t worry, this doesn't mean you're taking business away from yourself. Actually, your dreamy client will connect with you over getting some free advice and start to really know, like and trust you.

When they have repairs that get a little too complicated for them to do at home, they'll come in. They...

Do I Need An Email List? Yes, more than you need social!

Hello, my beautiful CREATORS!!

I often get asked by my clients if they need an email list. Sometimes, I get clients who don’t even ask that question. They don’t know the importance of email lists! Guys, they are even more important than social media!! I swear!

Your email list is the most important piece of marketing that you have. The reason for this is, your email list is something that you own. You are not at the mercy of algorithms on Facebook or Instagram. You have a direct relationship with your list. You control the content and what they see from you.

I want to talk to you about how to get more engagement with your list. With more engagement comes more sales, so dive in with me!

  • Consistent Schedule

It is so important to have a consistent schedule. Make sure you are giving your list real value on a consistent basis.

I like to email out at least once a week except when I'm in a launch phase of a new product, and then I will email a bit more...

3 Sales Techniques that Increase Revenue without Stress (The Art of the Story)

Hello, my beautiful CREATORS!!

I often get asked how to tell stories in effective ways for sales. My clients want sales techniques that aren't salesy. They want authenticity. I'm going to talk about three sales techniques or three ways to connect with your dreamy clients that feel natural and authentic for you and for your ideal clients.

  • Tell a Personal Story

The first method is to tell a personal story. Make sure to really open up and let your personality shine through. Talk about the speed bumps you've had along the way, how you've grown, why you've grown, what's happened to you. Be a little vulnerable. People really connect with that and like that you're opening up, and that you're being real.

Sometimes some of my clients are worried about sharing their failures, but people really connect with that because they've probably made the same mistakes. They like that you've learned from your mistakes and that you can teach them a better way.

I know its hard when...

A Wellness Morning Routine for a Creative Mindset

Hello, my beautiful CREATORS!!

I often get asked by my clients and by those of you who connect with me on social media what I do in the mornings to get in the creative flow. You guys want to know what my morning routine looks like. I'd like to take you through that. If you guys adopt some or all of this, I know it will help you get in the creative flow and set up your day for success.

  • Meditation

The first thing I do when I wake up is meditate. Sometimes I don't have a lot of time, so it's five minutes. However, I would say my sweet spot is about 20 minutes of meditation.

I often use the Calm app, which I highly recommend. 10% Happier is another great app. I also sometimes set a timer and just listen to my breath. I have a few meditation teachers I love like Jordan Younger (aka The Balanced Blonde).

I encourage you to do a body scan while meditating. Start at the top of your head and really feel exactly what you are feeling in each part of your body.

Another...
