The Art of Getting More Sales from a Stellar product

I’m commonly asked this by my clients, and what I teach them is an approach I call the Creators Model. The Creators Model is a way to take one sweet spot product and offer it in new ways so you can watch the revenue grow. 

Here’s how the Creators Model works:

First, take a look at your retail or e-commerce business, and make sure everything is on target.  This means you’ll have a really great webpage or way to sell online. Or, you’ll have an awesome physical location if that's applicable to your product or service.

If you’re like most of my clients, you’re not totally sure where to start when marketing a new product. 

Creating a marketing plan for a new product is like a triangle. There are three points to the triangle that are extremely important, and they all play an equal role in your product marketing efforts.

I often get asked by my clients and by my tribe about social media marketing strategies and, in particular, videos. What kind of videos are the best to use to market your business? The first one that I want to talk about is a how-to video. 


  • The How-To Video


How-To videos are highly searchable and a great way to connect with a new dreamy client. For example, if you are someone who sells furniture, you can do a step-by-step instructional video showing how to repair a stool. This will give your audience some takeaways and the “know, like and trust” factor when they use your advice to repair the furniture at home. 

Don’t worry, this doesn't mean you're taking business away from yourself. Actually, your dreamy client will connect with you over getting some free advice and start to really know, like and trust you.

Your email list is the most important piece of marketing that you have. The reason for this is, your email list is something that you own. You are not at the mercy of algorithms on Facebook or Instagram. You have a direct relationship with your list. You control the content and what they see from you.

  • Tell a Personal Story


The first method is to tell a personal story. Make sure to really open up and let your personality shine through. Talk about the speed bumps you've had along the way, how you've grown, why you've grown, what's happened to you. Be a little vulnerable. People really connect with that and like that you're opening up, and that you're being real.

Sometimes some of my clients are worried about sharing their failures, but people really connect with that because they've probably made the same mistakes. They like that you've learned from your mistakes and that you can teach them a better way.

A Wellness Morning Routine for a Creative Mindset

I often get asked by my clients and by those of you who connect with me on social media what I do in the mornings to get in the creative flow. You guys want to know what my morning routine looks like. I'd like to take you through that. If you guys adopt some or all of this, I know it will help you get in the creative flow and set up your day for success.


  • Meditation


The first thing I do when I wake up is meditate. Sometimes I don't have a lot of time, so it's five minutes. However, I would say my sweet spot is about 20 minutes of meditation.

I often use the Calm app, which I highly recommend. 10% Happier is another great app. I also sometimes set a timer and just listen to my breath. I have a few meditation teachers I love like Jordan Younger (aka The Balanced Blonde). 

I encourage you to do a body scan while meditating. Start at the top of your head and really feel exactly what you are feeling in each part of your body.
